Portugal Colonial - YouTuber Chris Sails Arrested for Allegedly Falsifying Emergency Report

YouTuber Chris Sails was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of knowingly making a false statement to law enforcement, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The arrest follows an incident in which Waller County Sheriff’s Office officials allege he reported his children had fallen into a body of water behind his home.

The Waller County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on August 16 regarding a suspicious person running and jumping onto residents’ cars. Upon arrival, officers found Sails sitting in the roadway next to a light pole, appearing to pray, before he began rolling around in the street.

During questioning, police claim Sails stated his children had fallen into water located directly behind his residence. Officers immediately launched a search and rescue operation involving fire department vehicles, boats, specialized sonar equipment, and aerial drones. The search was terminated after officials determined the children were safe with family members.

Sails was arrested on August 17 for the alleged false statement. He was released the following day after posting bond.
