Katie Alexander reportedly leaves flat shared with Eamonn Holmes
Katie Alexander has reportedly moved out of the Kingston-upon-Thames flat she shared with television presenter Eamonn Holmes, although sources say the couple remain together.
Katie Alexander has reportedly moved out of the Kingston-upon-Thames flat she shared with television presenter Eamonn Holmes, although sources say the couple remain together.
Eamonn Holmes’ girlfriend Katie Alexander is reportedly ‘very, very upset’ after being ordered to leave their shared flat.
The GB News host, 66, began dating mum-of-three Katie, 45, in 2024 following the breakdown of his marriage to This Morning’s Ruth Langsford.
One of showbiz’s most popular couples, Eamonn and Ruth were together for 27 years, announcing their split in 2024.
Eamonn and Ruth got together in 1997, three years after his split from his first wife, Gabrielle Holmes, whom he tied the knot with in 1985.
There is reportedly ‘no love lost’ between Katie and Eamonn’s former partners, with her sharing a particularly cutting social media post following reports that she has moved out of her and Eamonn’s shared flat.
Posting a picture on her Instagram Stories on a beach wearing a bikini, she wrote: ‘There is a quiet kind of strength in becoming comfortable with who you are.
‘No longer needing to prove, explain or seek validation – just choosing peace, protecting your energy and finding beauty in the life you’re creating.
‘Softness is strength. And knowing your worth changes everything. Starting with yourself.’
It comes amid reports Katie had been left feeling ‘utterly tormented’ and ‘very, very upset’ over allegedly being ‘cast aside’ by Eamonn’s former wives as well as their children to care for Eamonn after he suffered a stroke in April.
A source told The Daily Mail: ‘The Holmes clan have pulled together to form a close unit as they navigate what Eamonn’s future is.
‘But Katie has been left out in the cold, on her own, and that is very upsetting for her.’
They continued: ‘There is no love lost between Katie and Ruth, or between her and some quarters of Eamonn’s wider family, but Katie feels they aren’t being very kind to her, as she is desperately wishing for him to come out the other side from his stroke as much as they are.
‘There are some people close to Eamonn who think Katie is after his money and the fame that goes with being his girlfriend. That is the narrative some have put out about her which is deeply unfair.
‘She adores Eamonn and is absolutely heartbroken that he has been unwell for so long. It’s devastating for her – and is only being made worse because she feels she isn’t being treated nicely by Eamonn’s family.’
The source also claimed that Katie had been forced to move out of Eamonn’s apartment in Kingston-upon-Thames, where she had been living part time for the last three years.
The insider alleged the decision was made by Ruth and Eamonn’s children that he shares with Gabrielle – Declan, Rebecca, and Niall – which left Katie ‘devastated.’
‘The rent was really, really expensive and Eamonn has been in hospital for a very long time,’ the source claimed. ‘It was a case of throwing good money after bad.
‘However, Katie was staying there when she wasn’t with her kids in Yorkshire. It meant she could be close to Eamonn for visits, but Eamonn’s family decided it should be handed back, which meant Katie had to vacate.
‘Their decision is pretty understandable, but it was still upsetting for Katie. This was the place where she and Eamonn shared so much of their time. He might have been struggling physically,, but he is a charming, very funny man and they had many good times there.’
Despite allegedly moving out of their home, a source insists the couple are still together and have not split.
The source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Katie is still very much together with Eamonn and in love, but she’s moved out of the flat.
‘It’s an incredibly sad situation — she loved it there, and the time they spent together making it home.
‘Katie has been Eamonn’s rock and lifeline since he fell ill. She’s willing him to get back to full fitness and get their lives back on track.’
Metro UK has contacted representatives for Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford for comment.
