France scrum-half Lucu extends Bordeaux deal to 2029
Bordeaux-Begles captain Maxime Lucu announced Sunday that he had extended his contract with the Top 14 club through until 2029.
Lucu made the announcement in a video clip broadcast ahead of the Champions Cup quarter-final against Toulouse at Bordeaux's Chaban-Delmas stadium.
The 33-year-old touched down in Bordeaux in 2019, having signed from Biarritz.
In seven seasons with UBB, Lucu has played 160 matches, while playing in two Top 14 finals and being a key member of the team that won the Champions Cup in 2025.
The scrum-half, who made his debut for France in 2021, has been capped 30 times and was part of the squad that won the Six Nations Championship in 2022 and 2025.
