Portugal Colonial - French dance music duo Justice returns

"Generator" combines hardcore techno with violins and a funky bassline, while "One Night/All Night" is a poppy club track featuring Tame Impala's Kevin Parker.

They are the first songs to come from the new album, due out on April 26.

"We both came to this project fresh. In the end, it was fluid, we were happy to meet again, each with new influences, new desires," said Justice members Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Auge, one finishing the other's sentence on French radio station Franceinfo.

The Grammy-winning duo's last studio album was 2016's "Woman", and fans of the "French Touch" dance scene have been eagerly awaiting its return, particularly since the retirement of Daft Punk in 2021.

Justice will return to live performances with an appearance at Coachella festival in California in April and has several massive shows booked across Europe this summer.

The duo has been one of the biggest names in dance music since their 2007 mega-hit "D.A.N.C.E."

But they say they are not interested in one-off singles.

"We are not at all interested in the short format. What drives us is making albums, even though almost no one listens to albums anymore," de Rosnay told Franceinfo.
