Kuwait legal department reviews new commercial concealment law
The Fatwa and Legislation Department opened its second annual legal cultural season with a discussion of Kuwait’s new anti-concealment rules.
Kuwait’s Fatwa and Legislation Department has opened its second annual legal cultural season with a panel examining the country’s new law against commercial concealment.
Commercial concealment refers to arrangements in which a business is operated by a person who is not licensed to conduct it, often through an officially licensed front.
The seminar was held under the patronage of the department’s president, Counselor Salah Al-Majed.
Participants reviewed Decree-Law No. 78 of 2026 on combating commercial concealment. The measure was issued in August and formed the focus of the opening event in the department’s legal programme.
