Wallabies centre Ikitau signs on for Exeter stint
Wallabies centre Len Ikitau will join Premiership side Exeter for a short stint before returning to Australia ahead of the 2026 international season, the player and the club announced Thursday.
The 26-year-old, a regular in the Australian side, will start his English sabbatical in late 2025 before a return to the ACT Brumbies.
"My family considers us very lucky to get to have this experience abroad with a club that is so iconic and respected, not to mention a place that loves its rugby with passionate fans," Ikitau said in a statement.
He will join Australian teammate Tom Hooper and former Wallaby Scott Sio in the Exeter Chiefs' ranks next season.
"He's without doubt a world-class player, right on top of his form currently in Super Rugby," said Exeter's rugby director Rob Baxter.
"He'll have the Rugby Championship and the British and Irish Lions tour coming up before he arrives with us, but having spoken to him, he's very keen to experience something different."
Ikitau made his Test debut in 2021 has gone on to represent the Wallabies on 39 occasions.
