Toulouse injuries mount as Ramos doubtful for Champions Cup semi
France international Thomas Ramos is likely to miss Toulouse's Champions Cup semi-final against Bordeaux-Begles because of injury, a source close to the club told AFP Thursday.
The French full-back, who is also Toulouse's first-choice goalkicker, is reported to be carrying a calf injury.
It is a further injury worry for the defending champions ahead of Sunday's encounter in Bordeaux with hooker Peato Mauvaka, scrum-half Antoine Dupont and utility back Blair Kinghorn already missing through injury.
Dupont, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury during the Six Nations match against Ireland, will not feature again before November while Mauvaka, whose absence because of a knee injury was announced on Wednesday, is also unlikely to play again this season.
Scotland back Kinghorn is also suffering from a knee injury.
In the event of Ramos' withdrawal, the versatile Argentinian three-quarter Juan Cruz Mallia is likely to take over at full-back although Italian flier Ange Capuozzo has recovered from a right ankle injury and is also expected to feature.
